This initial consultation helps to answer any questions you have, for Lilly to discuss with you the reasons for you coming and what 1-2-1 treatments are going to be best for you to book to achieve the best results. The consultation is either done via phone, Skype or facetime.
We have people who travel from all over the world to come on a Life Right Retreat and we co-ordinate all of your travel requirements to ensure everyone arrives at the same time, so you don’t need to worry about any of the arrangements – we’ll take care of it all for you.
When you arrive at the port, train station or airport, you will be picked up by our Retreat House Manager ‘Muzz’ in our shuttle bus who will be easy to spot holding a Life Right Retreats sign, who will then bring you safely to the Retreat. The transfer is 25 – 45 minutes (dependent upon location) driving through some stunning scenery.
So that we may identify your baseline of health, we have developed a range of tests and biomarkers that will let us know how you and your body is doing as soon as you join us. This then gives us a starting point and a measure of how well your body is responding to the programme, not just for our research, but more importantly to spur you on to know you can be different and that your body does respond to a wellbeing regime. These tests are the latest anthropometric tests and blood spot analysis, that measure inflammation and lipid distribution in your body.
After the health checks you can settle in to your room to freshen up and unpack before having a tour of the house and meeting the rest of the Team.
We then all sit down for one of your first delicious nutritious meals, after which Lilly will explain the philosophy behind our Wellbeing programme and show you the components that are available on your Retreat
Right from the outset you will learn on our Retreat and Lilly will explain how each day has a theme and how the Vitablends and shots you have first thing in the morning help kickstart your whole system and have it heading in the right direction.
The blends and shots work in partnership with all the other activities, plans and foods for that day… How does this work? It’s a closely-guarded secret but we will give you an insight into this when you come on the Retreat
Each morning, our Yoga instructor teaches you not only yoga basics but breathing and relaxation techniques to help you in your day to day life. Our classes have often inspired people to take up yoga on a permanent basis after the retreat. Yoga helps with your flexibility, builds muscle strength, perfects your posture, helps prevent cartilage & joint breakdown, protects your spine, enhances your bone health and blood flow, boosts your immunity, decreases your blood pressure, regulates your adrenal glands, lowers blood sugar, enhances mood, helps with focus and relaxation, improves balance and your nervous system and so on… Now can you see why we include yoga classes on our retreats!
These cover a range of wellbeing topics for your education, further knowledge and advancement. Some are interactive (which can be as much or little as you wish), some are creative and include, art, music, brain training and mindfulness. Some are educational and look at psychoeducation, neuro-biochemistry inflammation and physiology. Others are informative and show you recipes, nutritional components, breathing exercises and tips to avoid back neck and shoulder pain. Every Retreat follows a programme of what constitutes Wellbeing and evolves dynamically with your questions, requests and hunger for knowledge and discussion. As a consequence, all Retreats are different and do not offer handouts, you will be given a Journal to capture your thoughts and pertinent information to take away with you.
Enjoy 1-2-1 sessions with Retreat creator and experienced psychotherapist Lilly Wickham, where she will work with you on an integrative basis. This means she will use her various skills in many modes of psychotherapy to help you achieve your wellbeing goals. Her choice of treatment will depend upon what she thinks will work quicker for you at the time and what you are comfortable with. She is qualified and experienced in EMDR, systemic, cognitive, brief solution-focused, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, attachment, trauma-release and narrative approaches. It’s always a good idea to book sessions in advance with Lilly and she will discuss your needs on your pre-Retreat consultation. Sometimes sessions are available on your Retreat, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Used both in Lilly’s 1-2-1 sessions as well as some workshops, EMDR (eye movement desensitisation & reprocessing) can help with a range of issues including PTSD, trauma, anxiety and stress. It’s just one of the many ‘tools’ in Lilly’s box that she can utilise to help you achieve your goals.
Ian works closely with Lilly, complementing her emotional support and 1-2-1 sessions with physical treatments. The connection between physical & emotional is often misunderstood or overlooked, whereas our experts offer a holistic solution to help achieve outstanding results.
Following your initial consultation with Lilly, your retreat journey will incorporate nutritional therapy, not just in the interactive workshops but also at every mealtime as Lilly will go through the nutritional content and superfoods you eat. Have your workbook with you!
Lilly is a Senior Hypnotherapist and offers an integrative and diverse approach to hypnotherapeutic work, including psychotherapy, CBT, REBT, trance-work, hypno-pictography and timeline techniques, so you can decide how deep you go in to your journey to the self. Success does not depend on how deep you go, as Lilly is experienced and qualified in many aspects of trance work, which can achieve transformative work in a different way. Talk to Lilly about any experience you may have had or wish to have with hypnotherapy and brain-state work and she will develop a treatment plan that suits you.
Acupuncture can help with a range of issues including nausea, headaches, chronic pain, shoulder, arm or low back pain, bladder issues, fatigue and more.
You will book in with Ian whilst on the retreat and, as with Lilly, it’s always a good idea to book in advance
Whilst we take basic details when you first arrive, we also a far more comprehensive health check which is carried out by Ian. This will include a core set of tests focusing on key areas including heart health, mental health, body functions and muscles, bones and joints.
Intermittent fasting can aid weight loss as the body can burn fat more efficiently. It also helps with insulin sensitivity, speeds up metabolism, promotes longevity, improves your eating patterns, brain function, immune system & healthier skin.
Choose from a range of treatments including 30 minute sports massage or a 30, 45 or 60 minute relaxation massage, Indian head massage, reflexology or a soothing hand massage – or combine any number to your taste. Ideal to help you completely relax.
No needles, no poison – these treatments are great for facial toning & lifting, microdermabrasion, skin rejuvenation and skin hydration. The system also is very effective with acne treatment, bust or butt lifts and cellulite reduction. All available on our retreats!
Introducing just a 5 minute high intensity workout once a day can make a difference to how you feel and our ‘Dance Pops’ give you some moves to try out the next time a funky tune comes on the radio! Each move is variable depending on your ability – it’s huge fun!
We are fortunate that we can walk for ages and not see anyone else where we are, so this gives us a great opportunity to see some of the beautiful countryside AND get back in touch with what the earth gives us every day, which we can easily overlook.
Each retreat shows how a group of strangers with a common goal can bond & often strike up lasting friendships and these are certainly helped with the fun activities we run. Aside from the enjoyment factor, they also identify personal traits to Lilly too!
Being a Master Practitioner, Lilly is able to include NLPt in both her interactive workshops and of course on a 1-2-1 basis in her clinical sessions. ‘Master Practitioner’ is the highest level of training and expertise and it offers a range of benefits to you.

This was devised by Lilly as a means of taking yourself away and practising relaxation. It is a programme that encourages the mind, body and spirit to enjoy the impact of now and help your brain to achieve an altered state, whilst being coached into being receptive for a calmer and more peaceful mind.
This obviously helps to reinforce any changes that you may have started whilst being with us on your Retreat.
This is a new treatment that has been devised by Lilly and her Team to help with significantly reducing pain, anxiety, depression, or insomnia without medication. Working on an entirely holistic basis, this treatment combines, brainwave activity, grounding, hypno-audio training and an electrotherapy device that transmits wave form to modulate the brain cell’s signals, helping hyperactitivy, overactive thinking, brain fog and repetitive pain signalling to return to baseline, normal functioning, which in turn achieves a more peaceful mind and body, allowing your spirit to feel rejuvenated and free.
A major part of why our body systems stop working efficiently is due to our vital organs being overloaded with harmful and unwanted chemicals, pathogens, toxins and heavy metals.
